Seriously! I drive and all by myself from OC (work) or Long Beach (home) to eat there. What I should do is try more of their extensive menu.

All I can say is WOW soooooooo good. We got the sashimi & cod combo plate, beef & potato croquette plate, & sautéed mushrooms. The mushrooms seemed simple but were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The beef was also cooked perfectly, was juicy and flavorful. I would order everything again and have honestly been craving it since.

Been here a number of times, consistent and the same.

Only regret I have this time is not ordering two combos of beef teriyaki instead of splitting everything!!

Parking in the back is fine and there isn't much of a wait really. This still probably is my favorite place... Tempura, Beef Teriyaki (I wonder what cut they use cause it's fatty in the right way, thick, juicy)

Nikujaga is flavorful the way I like it, stronger flavor as opposed to the bland one I've had elsewhere. Weird that the whole potato was basically thrown in and not cut but I don't mind lol

Service is OK, you have to flag them down, a little busy with only 1-2 people for the whole restaurant but not a real issue.

Have been going here for many years now. Food is delicious, wait staff is efficient, kind and courteous. Only issue might be seating as it is a fairly small establishment. Lunch prices are a deal here too! Highly recommend.

My girlfriend and our families have been going to Azuma Japanese Restaurant for a very long time. The quality of the food and the portions are amazing. Besides the small parking and small inside restaurant dining area, the customer service is always on top of things and know how to take care of their customers. The ambiance inside reminds me of your traditional Japanese restaurant as they also have a counter seating in front of the cooks. My go to is the Beef Teriyaki with Tempura, can be pricey but definitely worth it for the amount of food they give you. Comes with high quality Beef Teriyaki (consistency is like steak), miso soup, bowl of rice, your tempura with ponzu, mac salad, and veggies. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a Japanese hole in a wall restaurant!

Fantastic authentic Japanese food. Huge portions. My family and I have been going here for years and love it. The restaurant itself is a bit small but the quality of the food is great.

Such a hidden gem in Gardena. My favorite is beef teriyaki. When my husband ordered it, I laughed and got curry katsu. I was wrong. I only go back to this place just for beef teriyaki. Taken many of my friends and all LOVE their beef teriyaki!

We've been coming here since the 90's and food is always good!  Beef and Chicken teriyaki, chicken Katsu, and miso soup...yummy!

Great food for a great price. Had the Tuesday special, (Tempura + teriyaki chicken) for $14,50! Lots of leftovers! It's a little loud, but not too bad. Will come back!
